My wife and I have recently decided to buy a house and make some major improvements to our little condo so we can rent it out. We're totally biting off more than we can chew, but it's absolutely necessary. I've decided to blog the entire process. Exciting!
We are currently "in contract" on a beautiful, yellow, 4 bedroom house. I don't really know exactly what that means, but the gist is - we bought a house! But we didn't buy it yet.
My amazing wife did a thorough house search while I was away at work, and narrowed it down to 4 favorites that were in our price range and would be suitable - or could be made suitable without too much hassle - for our family. I went to see the 4 favorites, and it was easy to settle on the one that she had already stated was the clear frontrunner.
After a ridiculous negotiation with the ridiculous sellers, we made an offer a bit lower than their asking price and met them in the middle. Well, okay, we met them at the 88.6% mark. Close enough.
So now we begin a busy few months full of cleaning, demolishing, building, replacing, and cussing. I hope that the 2 or 3 of you who read this will enjoy it.
